WAM Announce Emergence Creative Festival Partnership, Licensing Showcase

A new partnership between and the fast-approaching inaugural , the Sync To Swim – The World Of Music Licensing Panel & Showcase saw over 50 acts from all over WA applying for the opportunity to have their music heard by creative, marketing, publishing and music licensing specialists from all over the world.

These judges have whittled the entries down to the most sync-worthy songs, those recorded tracks now to be featured in the panel discussion on music licensing early in the evening. These same seven acts will then also take to the stage to showcase their wares live that night for all to see in a celebration of some of this stateʼs finest synch-worthy (not to mention live) artists! Selected by the independent judges, is thrilled to announce the following acts for the inaugural Sync To Swim Panel & Showcase:

• Rachel Gorman
• Ylem
• Juerlaine
• Jake & The Cowboys
• The Brow Horn Orchestra
• The Frighteners
• Lilt

The quality of entries was high so it was no easy decision. Now the panel provides a unique opportunity for West Australian musicians to enter the lucrative world of music licensing by getting up close and personal with national and international experts, responsible for everything from syncing to Hollywood films to TV adverts and even high profile restaurant soundtracks. The Sync To Swim Judging Panel consists of:

• Danny Loong – Co-founder & Chief Creative Director, Timbre Group.
• Tobias Wilson – Founder & Managing Director, @ccomplice.
• Jody Colero – Owner, Silent Joe.
• Kurt Beaudoin – Creative Director, Meerkats.
• Al Taylor – Managing Director, 303 LOWE.

Location: Settlers Tavern, Margaret River
Panel: 5.30pm – 7pm (All judges and panel members discussing music syncing)
Live Showcase: 7pm – 11.30pm (All acts playing live)
Cost: FREE ENTRY (for industry and general public alike)!
