It might be the isolation, the water or indeed the imported Belgian beer. Or perhaps The Jephasuns may just be held to ransom by the forces of nature which rule the city they live in. Either way, Perth seems to spawn some of the country’s most interesting bands.

Known for their powerful live performances, they are fronted by nationally acclaimed singer / songwriter Hurb Jephasun and backed by drummer Marty Owens, bassist Dirk Christ and guitarist David Hayhurst.

The Jephasuns play their own brand of indie/swamp rock with passion and intensity.
