ROCK / INDIE / ALTERNATIVE

‘THE formed in mid 2007 in sunny Bunbury, Western Australia, with the garage beginnings of your typical rock outfit. Within 6 months the group was opening one of the biggest live festivals on WA’s music calendar Southbound. They quickly built on an impressive start, by securing many gigs with major touring acts, such as ‘The Galvatrons’, ‘Gyroscope’, ‘Jebediah’, and ‘The Vasco Era’.

At Southbound, the band’s set preceeded The Panics, who watched on from side of stage and later praised the boys on “a f…ing good set!!”. Kings of Leon, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Groove Armada and a host of top Aussie acts rounded off the festival’s bill. The band is made up of three cousins Ben, Dylan and Clint, and good mate Macca. Macca on drums isn’t any relation to the other three, but really wants to be! With the bass swapping habits of the three up front, the heavy hitting of Macca back there, and the very diverse influences of all four members, they create a truelly unique blend of modern rock and roll. Reviewers have likened their sound to “early You Am I”, with a “Dandy Warhols velvetness”.

The band recently won best regional act in Western Australia’s Next Big Thing competition and took out the APRA songwriting award in the state final. They have also just recorded their debut EP at Studio Couch in mid 2008 with acclaimed engineer Shaun O’callaghan. The EP ‘Running A Maze’ is now available in record stores aswell as Itunes Music Store. The are set for an exciting summer full of gigs such as Rollercoaster Festival and many more.
