Rise Apollo are the latest alternative rock hot-shots to come out of Perth, Western Australia, a city renowned for breeding some of Australia’s most unique and talented musical acts.
Within an isolated city, the band spent most of their early days silently observing the local Perth music scene, not prepared to throw themselves too quickly into the equation, without meaning or profound impact.
Two years later, and two new members along the way, the band is set to shock Perth music lovers with a breakthrough first release, “Issus”.
Breakthrough not only in a musical sense, but furthermore, in terms of what defines independent bands in today’s era. Rise Apollo do it all themselves.
They are self-managed and their debut recording is entirely self-produced. This EP will show that only total control can foster the musician’s ability to transform emotion, skill and persistence into art.
This debut piece pays tribute to some of the bands most inspirational influences ranging from the dynamic genius of Tool, to the more contemporary neo-progressive stylings of Circa Survive and The Mars Volta.
‘Issus’ is a pleasing and stimulating blend of atmospheric leads, bone crushing riffs and powerful vocal lines that will make even the most subdued of background punters want to rock their socks off.
