Following a critically acclaimed 14-date sold out tour of the UK and in line with a highly anticipated appearance at the upcoming Sydney Festival, The Frontier Touring Company wish to advise that the venues for Richard Hawley’s upcoming Australian tour have been changed.
The former Pulp band member’s illustrious career spans seven solo albums including the recent highly lauded and Mercury Prize nominated Standing at the Sky’s Edge (out now through EMI). The album is his highest charting to date and was included in Mojo and Uncut Magazine’s Albums of 2012.
The new venues offer a more personal and intimate experience of Richard Hawley’s songs, that have enthralled both audiences and critics equally;
“Hawley is a superb front man, holding the audience spellbound with his resonant, powerful voice and beautifully crafted melodies and lyrics.” The Sunday Mirror
Put simply, Hawley is a very fine musician — it’s no wonder that artists such as Elbow and Lisa Marie Presley have enlisted his services — while his songs had a timeless quality, captivating a crowd that ranged from teens to septuagenarians…. Hawley’s performance proved him worthy of his surging success.”
4/5, The Telegraph
One of Sheffield’s finest exports, Hawley offers a captivating balance between ethereal melody and psychedelic guitar sounds. Don’t miss the opportunity to see him and his band perform music from his extensive catalogue.
All tickets purchased to the original venues will be valid at the new venues. Current ticketholders will not need to exchange tickets to gain entry to the shows.
