PROGRESSIVE / GROOVE METAL
Primea are a five piece heavy band hailing from Perth, Western Australia who blend groove metal with progressive rock while taking influence from such groups as Meshuggah, Porcupine Tree and The Haunted.
For the past two years Primea’s profile has been built upon the live circuit with other respectable Perth based acts such as Dyscord and Chaos Divine.
“Optical Illusions” is the debut EP due out January 9 and contains five epic tracks that span over 30 minutes. The sessions were written since the bands inception and further produced, engineered and mixed by Simon Mitchell (Chaos Divine) while also being engineered and mastered by Perth guru James Hewgill.
2009 is set to be a big year for Primea as they endeavour to put their stamp on Australia’s brooding heavy scene in support of “Optical Illusions”
