This Saturday Perth’s newest live music venue PICA Bar are gathering some of the finest musicians about town for an afternoon of live acoustic tunes. The shady courtyard has recently been graced by a number of the scene’s better known solo acts, and next Saturday you can sit down with a beverage and enjoy a whole bunch of them for free!
One of Perth’s youngest and most promising singer songwriters, JACOB DIAMOND, will soothe your sweaty soul with his melodic folk tunes and ethereal voice. Bringing the blues will be one of the finest guitarists this city can lay claim to, LUKE DUX, best known as the singer/guitarist of local rock band The Floors. Electronic pop duo MULDER will be toning down their usual set for the afternoon show, performing their sci-fi inspired tunes via acoustic guitar and keyboard.
Award winning singer songwriter TIMOTHY NELSON, known as much for his endearing Australian affectation as he is for his orange cloud of hair, will also be appearing in the coolest pocket of the cultural centre, accompanied by talented violinist HAYLEY-JANE AYRES.
With raw, honest lyrics and timeless folk pop melodies, Nelson’s crisp, quirky, yet sentimental tunes are guaranteed to etch themselves into your memory long after he’s unplugged his guitar.
Last but not least, JAMES TEAGUE will prove there’s no better place for you to spend your Saturday afternoon. With a sound most easily recognised by intricate, dynamic arrangements, unpredictable songwriting and a soaring vocal tremolo, Teague will entertain, intrigue and amaze you with his fiercely dexterous fingerpicking and crafty, eloquent lyricism.
