Neon Indian : Supports Announced

Supports have been announced for ’s Australian tour in February/March including his show at the Perth International Arts Festival.

Sharing the stage with Mr. Alan Palomo and his gang in Melbourne will be none other than his long-time friends Miami Horror, who will be performing a live DJ set. Thriving across the pond in both the European and the US electronic scenes, the local synthpop icons are making a rare live Australian appearance this summer. Also supporting in Melbourne will be up-and-comers Snakadaktl. Citing Foals and Metronomy as two of their key influences, this quintet’s infectious tunes strike a perfect balance between echoing guitars and poppy synths.

Opening the bill in Sydney will be innovative electronic-futurist acts Collarbones and Boatfriends. With members hailing from Sydney and Adelaide, Collarbones seamlessly combine dreamy melodies with perfectly-placed glitches and hip-hop beats. Newcastle locals Boatfriends are of a similar flavour, earning themselves comparisons to Aussie electro heavyweights Seekae and The Avalanches. Beautiful, angelic vocals situated upon a backdrop of pulsating synths and great production techniques form the constructs of any Boatfriends track.

If Melbourne and Sydney weren’t enough for you, Brisbane will certainly put the icing on the cake. Opening proceedings in Brisbane will be Dance-pop duo YesYou. Despite their generic labelling as a dance-pop act, this youthful pair add a fresh and interesting dimension to the electro music fold. Cascading synths combined with beautiful melodic arrangements, YesYou will no doubt succeed in getting the party started.

Down in Adelaide, electro-rock act and live show specialists Messrs will warm up the stage, getting the party started with their own brand of intricate dance-punk. First up on the night will be disco-groovers Es ist Super, busting out their summery, synthesised dance tunes.
