Long Gone Midnight

APOCALYPTIC PSYCHEDELIC DESERT ROCK N ROLL

With one lead foot planted on the gas, the gents of have left their roots (and debut self titled EP) that was firmly planted in 60′s British blues, well and truly in their wake.

Having spent loads of time jamming their craft, they now find themselves heading full throttle into phsychedelic tinged, apocalyptic desert rock’n'roll with a light sprinkling of classic 60′s pop sensibilities.

Pouting. Preening. Prancing.

As with most Perth bands, the LGM line-up reads like a who’s who of the Perth role call - Bobby (The Scotch Of Saint James), Scott (ex-Euphorics + The Scotch’s sound engineer), Johnny (The Reserves) and most recent addition to the bosom, Jamie (The Silents).

The good gents of now present their second release Lose Your Mind. Recorded, mixed and produced by the Debaser gentlemen (Joel Quatermain/ Eskimo Joe + Andy Lawson/ The Avenues) and mastered by Greg Calbi (Sterling Sounds, NY). Lose Your Mind will be available old school through your fave independent record store or new school as a digital download through Amphead this May.

“The existence of Long Gone Midnight and [The Scotch Of Saint James] is a bit like a pair of hot twin sisters in that you’ld pick a favourite if you had to, but you’ld just as sooner get stuck into both of them.”

Such is the slicing guitar skills of Bobby Burgess – lead guitarist for both bands - who not only works a fret board like a fucken’ legend, but manages to recall Jimmy Page, Pete Townsend, Ed King and Ted Nugent without ripping any of them off…

“Supreme-o guitar work, ripping vocals and a flat-out barrage of hooks make ‘Never Alone’ one of the best rock singles Australia has seen since the ‘rock revival’ made everything boring and safe”
Mike Wafer, XPress Mag, 17.07.08

We’ll leave you to make up your own mind…
