14 tracks and 67 minutes of new music from Karnivool? Hell yeah!
After four years of silence following the band’s sophomore long player ‘Sound Awake’, Perth’s own prog-rockers Karnivool have announced that along with a brand new single, the band will be releasing an entire album and touring it within the coming months.
But fans will need to hold out for the rest of the album. ‘Asymmetry’, the long awaited follow-up record, produced and mixed by the legendary Nick DiDia (Rage Against the Machine, Mastadon) will be released on the 19th of July.
The album will be available in various formats from all good record stores on this date, and it’s everything you’d expect… and more. Die-hard fans can pre-order the deluxe version of the album from www.karnivool.com, including a live DVD in custom designed, fold-out packaging featuring a full concert from The Forum in Melbourne.
But wait! There’s more. The ‘Asymmetry’ Tour will be kicking of nationally at the end of July and Karnivool have chosen some specific & special venues which will enable them to tour with their full production in order to give the album the launch it deserves.
Joining Karnivool on the the ‘Asymmetry’ tour is Sydney 5-piece Northlane, who have exploded onto the scene since the release of their debut album in 2011 and have quickly become one of the biggest metal / hardcore bands in the country.
You can catch Karnivool ripping it up in their hometown on the 11th of August at Metro City. It’s a show you’re definitely not going to want to miss.
