Space Ship News is an independent organisation that promotes emerging and established music talent from the Perth music scene, along with international acts touring through West Australia. Fronted by Managing Director Ross Hatton, Space Ship is made possible by its ever-growing collective of writers and photographers – as well as the vast support of the Perth music community and key industry organisations.

Beginning as a small email gig-guide in 2006 Space Ship News has evolved into Perth’s premiere source for local and international music news. A four-time WAMI nominated music website in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 – Space Ship now has a readership of over 18,000, and counting. Space Ship News also puts together unique music events, while collaborating and partnering with like-minded arts and music collectives.
