Space Ship News is an independent organisation that promotes emerging and established music talent from the Perth music scene, along with international acts touring through West Australia. Fronted by managing director Dan Beard and Editor Ross Hatton and assisted by a casual group of multi-skilled volunteers, Space Ship is made possible by its ever-growing collective of writers and photographers, as well as the vast support of the Perth music community and key industry organisations.

Beginning as an email gig-guide in 2006 and evolving into three-time WAMI nominated music website in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Space Ship News now puts together unique music events, while collaborating and partnering with like-minded arts and music collectives.
