ALTERNATIVE POP
College Fall are an alternative pop duo that have grown up in the worlds most isolated city, Perth, Western Australia. Their songs are emotional snapshots laced with inspiring lyrics, delicate harmonies and sincere indie-pop hooks. Featuring dual songwriters Musto and Jodie Bartlett, College Fall’s music is based on their unique appreciation of life, isolation, love, fear and each other. The unique vocal partnership of Jodie’s sweetness and Musto’s dark angst stands College Fall out as a band to watch in 2009.
Forming in 2005, they have released their debut album to critical acclaim. Their 2007 release ‘Eleven Letters’ is beautifully recorded and tells the story of eleven letters written between two lovers. It launched them as a success worldwide with a strong fan base in small pockets of the world including Australia, UK, Finland and Japan. The band regularly tour Europe and Australia leading to Musto and Jodie performing at a number of high profile festivals including Maker, Skanderbog, Roskilde, Eat The World, Rocca In Musica, Big Day Out, Rock It and In The Pines and played alongside numerous internationally acclaimed acts including The Mountain Goats, M Ward, Guided By Voices, Seth Lakeman, Darren Hanlon, Sleepy Jackson, Charles Jenkins, The Cruel Sea, Claire Bowditch, Olivia Broadfield, The Whitlams and David Bowie.
College Fall are touring Europe in June and July 2009 with shows including the Sculptures By The Sea cultural exhibition in Arhus, Denmark at the special request of Princess Mary of Denmark. They will also be returning to Finland for the third time to play in Turku and Helsinki.
The band will be performing at the Kansai Music Festival in Osaka, Japan and the Midpoint Music Festival in Cincinatti, USA in September before releasing their eagerly anticipated new album ‘The Curse of Us’ in October through Varsity Records in Australia.
