Hailing from the sunny hills of Perth, Nik Thompson spends his time songwriting, singing and playing anything he can get his hands on, for the other hour of the day.. he plays his guitar.

Surrounded by an eclectic mix of sounds his music is a fusion of styles learning from Dylan to Waits and the rest.

Nik released his debut EP – 44th Sunset last year receiving awesome reviews and airplay nationally, locally and in the UK, he spent the year performing with his band and is also striking it out as a solo artist this year.  He was also nominated in the West Australian Song of the Year awards for his song Beep. He has been steadily carving out a profile, winning respect from many top musicians for his orginal,quality musicanship,outstanding songwriting and performance.

Nik performs solo, original tunes, fusing guitar, vocals, drums and layering this to give dimension, the effect is an awesome belend of acoustic indie/roots/pop tunes reminescent of Angus Stone/Ben Kweller but with a sound all his own.
